What fans are saying about Olivia
Eden & Ordinary Girl:
"This album is a crafted album
by an artist who clearly writes from the heart with an obvious
deep conviction in her beliefs. Her melodies are beautiful,
almost hypnotic. This album is a collector's must!"
"The best album of the year! I
give it five stars! Beautiful voice. If you like artists
like Sarah McLachlan, Tori Amos or Madonna...you will love
this!!"
"the music is fantastic.. a breath
of fresh air
"heard this girl on the TV show
"The Alice" and was utterly blown away... love your work!"
"Ordinary Girl is destined to see Olivia
Eden take her place as one of Australia's leading female
singer songwriters."
"This debut album is warm and bubbly
pop with an honest earthiness, signalling the arrival of
a perceptive Australian songwriter."
"What emerges from her divergent
collection of sounds is an arresting, irrepressibly hooky
and refreshingly new pop voice equally at home alongside classic
pop artists and alternative playlists."
"Olivia Eden is part of a return to
women stepping out front again. They are firmly taking hold
of the female perspective and even more stridently owning
it by sharing their internal world."
"Eden is soft and sensitive but never
a push over."
"Her music is original, spirited and
soulful. Her lyrics honest and unpretentious."
"If her passion, talent and drive are
any indication, we'll surely be hearing big things from
this fresh young musician."
"Olivia is set to turn a few heads
with her unique and catchy song-writing ability."
"With a little support this awesome
young Australian talent will go far."
"This girl is amazing... just imagine
Kasey Chambers mixed with the Bangles and throw all that
out and imagine something better!"
"Pure pop heaven. A nice balance of
guitars and vocals perfectly suited to the lyrics."
"Olivia Eden graciously sat at the
piano and impressed the crowd. One cannot help but compare
Olivia to Sarah McLachlan when you listen closely to her
arrangements, vocal phrasing and feel, but with more than
enough originality to set her apart."
"Olivia's music takes you on a journey
of life, tears and triumphs."
From the Oztrax website
(supporting Australian artists): "Although she was
born in Hollywood, Olivia Eden was raised in the middle
of the Australian bush with a piano and Michael Jackson
albums. In a Bondi music store, she was asked to perform
operatic vocals on an album – and this led to an invitation
to record a solo CD of her own. Since then, she has been
involved in solo and support gigs primarily around the Sydney
area.
